Canvases cont'd 1.03.2014

Today I continued with my canvases. The  Rotto plaster dried a bit too grey, so I used a wash of pure white acrylic paint to brighten the canvases.

I added raised berry sprigs with a Martha Stewart stencil using a product called Softex by Faux Effects. I was surprised by the light fluffy texture, it spread across the stencils like Cool Whip.

It did flatten slightly after drying. Tomorrow I will do a dry run with the next layers to see what else needs to be done.

The joke mantra in the Tapestry world : "it takes three days". Artists know the actual time to finish a piece. Thank you for sharing your stages. Wow, so cool, now off to do art! patti

Hehe...blow dryers and sunshine on hot days save my rear often when I've procrastinated too long.

You're welcome :)
