Got caught up with hearts again today. I was just going to cut out a few and they seem to take off on their own accord. The big ones are about 1 1/2" wide.Lots of fun and will find a way to attach them to cards for DS Watkins First Thursday but I have that nagging -didn't get anything done- feeling. Too many projects in-process, I guess. S'pect I best see some completions this coming week.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Lara. Copper, brass rivets, found flotsam. The wonderful reds come from heating the copper with a torch to red hot then immediately dowsing in boiling water. (makes a great rumble tumble sound then a phfissst!) You can get a range from soft peach to deep burgundy depending on how hot you take it. And the color holds well.

ReplyDeleteI will have to try this out myself. I haven't done much with patinas, so any tips and hints are very welcome. I LOVE copper and brass combined with silver. Still figuring out the whole riveting thing.
