After several hours of sitting in the airport due to plane problems, delays, whether and canceled flights I found an artist friend* as I was scrolling through Facebook.
His mother had taught him a pattern in which all the curves must connect in certain ways...so I tried and followed his rules while I was stuck in the airport.
This is my second time drawing this pattern and I'm becoming quite fond of doodling patterns in my journal.
Though I'm not sure how these patterns relate to my other work, I do love the use of colors and cultural patterns...So I'm sure the practice will be beneficial and it's fun and it seemed like the perfect start for this Art-A-Day challenge.

*Kawandeep Virdee is an inspirational artist. Do take a moment to check out his work and if you like it (which I'm sure you will) do follow him. I met him at a tech conference and he was super cool...then the next day I found out he was a speaker and artist. I had actually seen some of his art before. I was amazed by how he mixes creativity and tech his art!

Great dimensional feeling to the 'doodle'. I can easily imagine how it might show up in your work. I'll be watching! :)
I sure enjoyed checking out the New American Public Art site too!
Felicia, you are one of the cool kids!
Your spirals, colors and inks are wonderful!
