Tea, Books, Henna, Lotus Flowers and Barracuda

Hey guys!!!

I hope this year is going well and folks are continuing to create art even after January's Art-a-day challenge. This is what I have been working on!

If you live in the Tri-Cities you can go check out my henna and lotus flower inspired tea artwork at Barracuda Coffee in Richland. I am really excited about how the large piece turned out... The work will be up Through March and into early Aprily (dates TBD).

Taking a Breather

Whew, all this art in a row takes it out of you!

Today I did a few small drawings, not much to post pictures for so today's post is short and sweet. Tomorrow I want to bring out a painting I had work on over the summer but had lost the

spark for. It's huge, 4'x4' and demands a great amount of detail and attention to light and perspective. It's wonder why I put it aside!

Ah, well tomorrow's a new day.

Do I Have to Blog Everyday?

No. Though it's a good thing, a fun thing, and highly encouraged at least now and again. Some participation lets us know you are on board, inspires others and may be used to determine eligibility for inclusion in a show (if we have one).

Do I Make Art Everyday?

Yes. That is the commitment.

Art-a-Day is self-regulating

It is very loose; however diligence is expected because that's what makes it expansive -for you. That is, you commit yourself in whatever fashion you can to "doing" art every day. Add to your piece each day or create something new, it’s up to you. It might mean folding a paper napkin while you are on an airplane flying across the globe because that's all you could do that day - but it was intentional.
