This is pretty cool. I first saw these ribbons- on-a-stick when we went to see the Russian Female Gymnastic Team perform in Spokane way back in the early 70's. For them, it was an actual Olympic event, the twirling of these things and it was spellbinding to watch. It was just after the Olymics had been held and the big name then, was Ludmilla Tourischeva.
