I realize today just how far, wide, and deep my art supplies are burried. Until I get them resurrected, I will have to be just that much more creative with my art-a-day commitment. I'm looking forward to the excavation, though! It's been a long time since I held those soft pencils in my hands, and I had intended to start sketching this evening. But after a long day of work and everything that follows, I needed something simple, so that I can go to bed with a clear conscious. I head to the garden with a candel and a camera: Night Falls in the Buddha Garden, or perhaps I should call it "Midnight in the Garden of Buddha and Weevil". Regardless of the name, I had some fun with FX. (In order: Original, Plastic Wrap, Misc Blur, and Cutout.)

I like this! The effects give it a totally different feel than I've always associated with Buddhas. The second one from the left actually makes me shudder a bit. Don't normally think of Buddhas as looking predatory, and this one does, to me.
Nice my dear - mel
