9th Annual Art-a-Day Challenge, January 2018!

Jan 1st

Ah, Art-A-Day! I'm so excited for this month and this new year!
My first bit of art is a little sketch I did on the long drive home from Portland OR. I used a regular #2 pencil and artist paper. The idea stemmed from listening to music recorded during live concerts on my mp3 player. My mind started thinking about the movements crowds make. Especially mosh pits. Then I started wondering.. "What would they look like moshing in hanging space? ". A half hour later and I had this.
Kinda fun huh?
I'm going to start up on some of my acrylic paintings and bigger projects for this lovely challenge, but I had to make due with what I had at the moment.
See you tomorrow!

That is great. It has this whole feeling of floating, space, excitement. It is also shaped like a pyramid sort of thing. I love it. Great energy. You are going to do a painting of this?
When you said you did this coming home from Portland, you weren't driving at the time were you? LOL seriously, though this is cool.

Very cool, Sarah! It has a sort of Edvard Munch feel to it. Lots of emotion.
I'll see you at work tomorrow!

It does look Munchian! I like the energy in it and the superior feeling it gives me as I look down on these figures.....what? lol

I originally saw a sea anemone. Nice explanation. Love the movement and the energy.
