I did my best with the sad piece...I could not do much about linear perspective at this stage, but I tried to lift as much color as I could from the background hills, also strengthened the foreground to mend the atmospheric perspective. I'll save this one as a reference for a future work.

Jean that is a great piece stand back and look at it from the admirers eyes. Generally they look at it from 6 feet away.
