Back to civilization

It's amazing how much more I can accomplish when I am up in the mountains and there is NO internet access. Once I got past the initial computer withdrawal symptoms I got to work, and without my numerous "computer breaks" throughout the day I actually got some full work (or should I say play) days in. I spent the week working with 3-D shapes to experiment with how the glass placed into different shapes, textures, glass and prism variations played with the light most dramatically. By the 5th I started in on a mixed media piece, pics to come. It was a fun experiment in just play. Now I'm home plugged back into the internet, let's see how much work gets done. Sooooo glad to be back doing Art-A-Day!

All built on the same basic shape, but each with such personality! I love things that hang and spin - they're all over my house.

Love the uniqueness of each piece. Love working with glass!

These are very creative Alice. I can't imagine how you get all those sides to stay in place as you go about soldering. It looks like you'd need about 8 arms to hold it together. I especially love the embedded hearts. Oh I bet they catch the light beautifully.
