Grapes

OK, my subject matter and style aren't exactly edgy and I haven't stepped too far out of my comfort zone, but grapes are new for me. Most watercolorists work light to dark, and I usually do too, but I've had some success in previous paintings by extablishing the shadows first. Thought I'd try that again since the sharp shadows are so important in this scene.

Hi Lisa, This is great. These are some luscious grapes, I can just tell. So fun to see your process. Keep us posted!

Thanks Laura! I loaded the images in the right order, but they ended up switched around. I suspect folks can figure out that out...

Yah it's a bit odd, happened to me too. I found you just have to load them backwards. I can change it for you if you want (since Bobi gave me admin priv's).

Yummy! Watercolor is one of those forms of magic to me. Love watching the process, thanks!

Hey, I love the way this is going, such a yummy subject! You've inspired me to start with the shadows first on my new painting :)
