doodling today

I'm taking a break from the frustrations of sketching and reverting to something more soothing and enjoyable for me...tangling, doodling (officially called Zentangles).

Traditionally a Zentangle is done on a 3" square tile but I felt the need to keep going and going, so filled my sketchbook page with doodle madness.  Now I'm relaxed again. aaahhhhh.

Terrie, these are wonderfully fun. They look like embroidery patterns. Wouldn't that be fun.

It's relaxing to look at too!

Are there any "rules" to Zentangle? Other than the 3" square tile? I can't sketch to save my life, but this looks fun. Yours is gorgeous. I wonder what it would look like in color. I keep thinking of peacock feathers and lily-of-the-valley.
